Rainford Solutions wins contract to design and
manufacture specialist instrumentation racks for the Diamond Light Source
Synchrotron
 Diamond - a Light for Science Diamond produces x-ray, infrared and ultra-violet beams of exceptional brightness. These highly focused beams of light enable scientists to probe deep into the basic structure of matter and materials, answering fundamental questions about everything from the building blocks of life to the origin of our planet. Synchrotron light is an indispensable tool in many research areas including physics, medicine, chemistry, materials science and crystallography. Diamond is a third generation synchrotron light source, is currently the brightest medium-energy x-ray source in the world, and generates extremely intense, narrow beams of light, about 10,000 times brighter than the previous UK facility based at the Daresbury Laboratory in Cheshire (up to 20,000 electron volts). | |

Rainford Solutions has been awarded a contract to design and manufacture a range of customer specific racks together with electrical systems for use in communications, telemetry and safety systems throughout the site. This demonstrates Rainford Solutions’ ability to design and supply products to an individual customer’s specific needs and where necessary carry out electrical integration work and safety and performance testing. | ||
